Professional Development
A huge part of this industry is keeping up with trends and constantly learning new skills.
I have experienced many professional development opportunities through my involvement in PRSSA and MaverickPR. I am thankful for these opportunities and all the valuable skills and information I've obtained from them. As a lifelong learner, I look forward to professional development opportunities in the future.
2019 PRSSA International Conference
I had the honor to travel to San Diego for the International Conference because of my involvement in our chapter. The conference included many informative breakout sessions, keynote speakers & a tour of Petco Park. UNO was named a 'star chapter,' or a chapter who displayed outstanding professional development opportunities for their members.

2020 PRSSA International Faculty Adviser Meeting
MaverickPR won the F.H. Teahan award for Outstanding Student-Run Firm at the 2019 International Conference awards ceremony. Because of this, I was asked as the sitting firm director to create and give a presentation about building a successful student-run firm. With the help of my assistant director, we presented this slideshow to over 50 faculty advisers across the world.

This was a great opportunity to share UNO's knowledge and improve my public speaking skills.
2020 PRSSA International Conference Chapter Development Sessions
Our chapter of PRSSA crafted and applied to present about community service at this year's chapter development sessions. We came up with the "Sweet Success to Service" to give best practices on community service and how other PRSSA chapters can benefit from giving back to their community. Below is the video and slideshow we created and presented to more than 50 PRSSA chapters around the world.
2020 PRSA/PRSSA International Conference
The 2020 International Conference was supposed to be in Nashville, but moved virtual due to COVID-19. Even under these circumstances, I gained valuable information from the breakout sessions on various subjects. My favorite session was one on crisis communication.
